KC Northland ARES maintains a membership database for the purpose of recording members, their equipment, service interests, training dates, and contact information. This information is accessible only by designated members, and then only for the purpose of notifying members of activations, deployments, or other service opportunities. At no time does Northland ARES give out any member information to any other groups or agencies. Northland ARES also records no private information such as birthdays or Social Security Numbers. The information provided by any member is purely up to that member's discretion. Although a background check is required for membership, the information required for the background check is strictly between the member and the law enforcement agency and is not kept by Northland ARES.
